FAQ
Questions? We've got answers.
Is this legit? Who will contact me?+
Yes. Every realtor in our network is licensed and registered with their provincial/state regulator. After you register, a realtor who works in your area reaches out to you directly to talk about next steps.
How does the realtor afford to give me cash back?+
When you buy, the realtor representing you earns a commission — typically around 2.5% on resale and often 4% or more on pre-construction, paid by the seller or builder. Our realtors agree to share 50% of it with you.
Does it cost me anything?+
No. Registering is free and there's no obligation. If you don't buy, you don't pay anything.
When and how do I get the cashback?+
Cashback is paid by your realtor's brokerage after your purchase closes, as set out in a written agreement you sign with them before you start. For pre-construction, it's typically paid when the realtor's commission is paid by the builder.
I'm already working with a realtor. Can I still join?+
If you've signed a buyer representation agreement with another realtor, you'll need to finish that relationship first. Let us know in the form and we'll be upfront about your options.
Are there any tax or mortgage implications?+
Your lender may need to know about the cashback, and tax treatment depends on your situation. Your realtor will walk you through it, and we recommend checking with your mortgage specialist or accountant.
